SEADREAM YACHT CLUB INJURY LAWYERS
Injured on a SeaDream yacht?
SeaDream Yacht Club sails two small yachts, each carrying no more than 112 guests, to small harbors in the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, Norway and Northern Europe, where the yachts often anchor and guests go ashore by tender. That means water activities, shore excursions and often long distances from a hospital. If you were hurt, your ticket can decide where and how fast you have to act.

ABOUT SEADREAM
Who you would be making a claim against.
SeaDream Yacht Club was founded in 2001 by Atle Brynestad, who also started Seabourn, and is family-owned and operated. Its offices are in Miami, Florida and Oslo, Norway. Like any cruise operator, it has insurers and in-house lawyers, so what you tell them early can affect your claim.
THE FLEET
Two yachts, each carrying up to 112 guests.
Each yacht links to its own page with reported incidents, so passengers searching by ship name land here.
COMMON SEADREAM CLAIMS
Where yacht travel goes wrong.
Tender & landing injuries
Anchoring at small harbors means frequent tender boarding.
Water activities
Swimming and water sports from the yacht, and near-drownings.
Shore excursions
Tours and activities sold through the yacht, often in remote places.
Slip and fall
Wet decks, steep stairs and open upper decks.
Medical negligence
Limited onboard care and delayed evacuation from remote waters.
Illness outbreaks
Norovirus and food- or water-borne illness on board.
WHAT TO DO AFTER AN INCIDENT
Report it onboard
Ask for a copy of the incident report before you leave the ship.
Document the scene
Photograph the hazard, the location, and any posted signage or lack of it.
Get seen onboard
A visit to the ship’s medical center creates a record with the date and time. Keep every bill and receipt.
Call before you settle anything
What you tell SeaDream or its insurers early can affect your claim later, so do not sign a release or accept a payment before you call.

SEADREAM-SPECIFIC QUESTIONS
How long do I have to file a claim against SeaDream?
SeaDream’s ticket contract, like most, can set a short deadline and name the court you must use. Most cruise tickets give you one year to file, and often six months to give written notice. Because the exact terms depend on your ticket, we check the contract that applies to you.
SeaDream has offices in Norway and Florida and its yachts are registered in the Bahamas. Does that matter?
It can. With offices in two countries and yachts registered abroad, your ticket may name a court or a country’s law you would not expect, and it names the company you sailed with. We read the contract before anything is filed, so that your claim goes to the right place.
Does the age of a yacht matter to a claim?
Age alone does not make a claim. How a yacht is kept up, inspected and refitted can matter, however, along with how the crew handled what happened to you. Because every case is different, we look at the facts and records, not the date a yacht was built.
I was hurt swimming or doing a water sport from the yacht. What should I do?
Get medical care first, then report it and keep your records. The yacht line may be responsible for activities it offers from the yacht, although a waiver you signed does not always end a claim. Because the details matter, please keep a copy of anything you signed.
I was hurt boarding a tender boat, does that count?
It can. Boarding a tender in open water is a common source of injury claims at ports where a yacht anchors offshore, and the same ticket-contract deadlines apply. Whether you have a claim depends on what went wrong, such as the sea conditions, the crew’s help or the equipment.
I was hurt on a private charter. Does that change anything?
It can. A private charter is usually booked under its own contract, so its terms, and who signed them, can matter. Please keep your booking and any contract you were sent, and call us before you assume anything.
What does it cost to find out if I have a case?
Nothing. The review is free, and if we take your case, we work on contingency, so our fee comes only from what we recover for you.
