EXPLORA CRUISE INJURY LAWYERS
Injured on an Explora cruise?
Explora Journeys, listed here as Explora Cruises, is the luxury brand of MSC Group. Its ships carry about 900 guests, with many restaurants, bars and pools, to Europe, the Mediterranean, the Caribbean and beyond. With long itineraries, tender ports and shore excursions, injuries can happen on board or ashore. If you were hurt, your ticket can decide where and how fast you have to act.

ABOUT EXPLORA
Who you would be making a claim against.
Explora Journeys was launched in 2021 as the luxury brand of MSC Group, the privately held shipping group that also owns MSC Cruises. The line is based in Geneva, Switzerland, and its first ship began sailing in 2023. Like any cruise operator, it has insurers and in-house lawyers, so what you tell them early can affect your claim.
THE FLEET
Three ships, each carrying about 900 guests.
Each ship links to its own page with reported incidents, so passengers searching by ship name land here.

EXPLORA-SPECIFIC QUESTIONS
How long do I have to file a claim against Explora?
Explora’s ticket contract, like most, can set a short deadline and name the court you must use. Most cruise tickets give you one year to file, and often six months to give written notice. Because the exact terms depend on your ticket, we check the contract that applies to you.
Explora is based in Switzerland and its ships are registered in Malta. Does that matter?
It can. The line is based in Geneva and its ships are registered abroad, so your ticket may name a court or a country’s law you would not expect. We read the contract before anything is filed, so that your claim goes to the right place.
Is Explora the same company as MSC Cruises?
Explora is a separate luxury brand, but it is part of the same group as MSC Cruises. Your ticket names the company you sailed with, so we identify the right one for you before anything is filed. That way, nothing goes to the wrong place.
I was hurt boarding a tender boat, does that count?
It can. Boarding a tender in open water is a common source of injury claims at ports where a ship cannot dock, and the same ticket-contract deadlines apply. Whether you have a claim depends on what went wrong, such as the sea conditions, the crew’s help or the equipment.
What if the excursion was sold through Explora?
Excursions sold through the cruise line can carry different responsibility than ones you booked on your own ashore. For that reason, it is a key early question in any shore-excursion claim.
What does it cost to find out if I have a case?
Nothing. The review is free, and if we take your case, we work on contingency, so our fee comes only from what we recover for you.
