SEABOURN CRUISE INJURY LAWYERS
Injured on a Seabourn cruise?
Seabourn sails small, ultra-luxury ships, none carrying more than about 600 guests, to ports around the world, and its expedition ships go to polar and other remote waters. That means more tender and small-boat landings, more excursions and often long distances from a hospital. If you were hurt, your Seabourn ticket can decide where and how fast you have to act.

ABOUT SEABOURN
Who you would be making a claim against.
Seabourn Cruise Line was founded in 1986 and is owned by Carnival Corporation, which also owns Princess Cruises, Holland America Line and Cunard. The line is based in Seattle, Washington. Like any cruise operator, it has insurers and in-house lawyers, so what you tell them early can affect your claim.
THE FLEET
Five ships, from about 250 to about 600 guests.
Each ship links to its own page with reported incidents, so passengers searching by ship name land here.
COMMON SEABOURN CLAIMS
Where luxury at sea goes wrong.
Tender & small-boat landings
Boarding tenders and small landing boats in open water.
Shore excursions & expeditions
Tours, hikes and expedition activities in remote places.
Water activities
Kayaking, swimming and snorkeling from the ship, and near-drownings.
Slip and fall
Wet pool decks, outdoor dining areas and stairs.
Medical negligence
Limited onboard care and delayed evacuation from polar and remote waters.
Illness outbreaks
Norovirus and food- or water-borne illness on board.
WHAT TO DO AFTER AN INCIDENT
Report it onboard
Ask for a copy of the incident report before you leave the ship.
Document the scene
Photograph the hazard, the location, and any posted signage or lack of it.
Get seen onboard
A visit to the ship’s medical center creates a record with the date and time. Keep every bill and receipt.
Call before you settle anything
What you tell Seabourn or its insurers early can affect your claim later, so do not sign a release or accept a payment before you call.

SEABOURN-SPECIFIC QUESTIONS
How long do I have to file a claim against Seabourn?
Seabourn’s ticket contract, like most, can set a short deadline and name the court you must use. Most cruise tickets give you one year to file, and often six months to give written notice. Because the exact terms depend on your ticket, we check the contract that applies to you.
I was hurt boarding a tender or small landing boat, does that count?
It can. Boarding a tender or small boat in open water is a common source of injury claims at ports where a ship cannot dock, and the same ticket-contract deadlines apply. Whether you have a claim depends on what went wrong, such as the sea conditions, the crew’s help or the equipment.
What if I was hurt on an expedition activity?
It can count. Expedition landings, hikes and water activities run by the ship’s own team can carry different responsibility than a tour run by an outside company, and the activity’s rules can matter. Because the facts differ from trip to trip, we look at who ran it and what you signed.
What if I needed medical care in polar or remote waters?
A delay in getting care, or limited care on board, can be part of a claim. Ships in polar and remote waters can be many hours or days from a hospital, so how quickly the crew acted and called for help can matter. Because every voyage differs, please keep every medical record and write down the times.
Seabourn’s ships are registered abroad. Does that matter?
It can. Seabourn is based in Washington, but its ships are registered in other countries, so your ticket may name a court or a country’s law you would not expect. It also names the company you sailed with. We read the contract before anything is filed, so that your claim goes to the right place.
What does it cost to find out if I have a case?
Nothing. The review is free, and if we take your case, we work on contingency, so our fee comes only from what we recover for you.
